Ever find something that speaks to you even when you have no idea why? This thing that lights up all the boring minutes of you life. Yarn became that for me. No matter the medium as long as it included working with those tiny strings I was hooked.
I can’t take credit for the introduction though, that goes solely to my aunt. She used to create these amazing little butterflies and dolls and they were always somewhere around her home. I used to watch her for hours making them and wishing I knew how. She finally took pity on me and taught me to crochet. I would love to be able to say that my obsession took off from there, but like everyone else life got in the way.
Years later during college I was stressed and lost doing something that I had no idea about, you know the thing that makes you money. Then enters our love friend You Tube. This is when the inspiration struck and stuck. I began to remember those tiny butterflies and dolls. I found every video there was about every stitch and a week long binge brought me from beginner to expert flower and bag maker. Crochet became my muse and yarn my obsession.
Now years later I knit, weave, and of course crochet, and I have developed a very healthy love of all things Yarny.
